Our Story:

Two years ago Ray Parks, Director of Aging and Transportation Services, Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services, convened a community planning team to discuss the possibility of bringing adult day services to Culpeper. With its central location to all five counties and co-location with the Culpeper Baptist Child Development Center, Culpeper Baptist Church was noted as the ideal location to host an adult day center. A collaborative effort between Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services, Aging Together, Culpeper Baptist Church, Culpeper Baptist Child Development Center, George Mason University and many other community partners has led to the opening of a brand new Adult Day Center on the first floor of Culpeper Baptist Church. This newly renovated facility, finished in February 2022, houses a vibrant activity program for the senior adults in our community with regular intergenerational opportunities for senior adults and children from the child care center to build meaningful relationships. We have a vision for our center to be a hub of activity in the community where individuals from all walks of life can gather and connect in a purposeful way.
